The challenge
As festival organizers, the Harefest team is always thinking about their guests and their experience: fast lines, easy and convenient ways to pay, and quick movement around the festival. Their previous system ran on tokens. Everything had to sit at a single price point, and guests kept having to go back to the token booth.
The solution: FastBar
FastBar took tokens, and the cash behind them, out of the festival. Guests complete a one-time registration and pay at any bar without a trip back to the booth. With the cash element gone, Harefest could price every item on its own, and the team could watch sales across every point of sale in real time.
The one-time setup registration for FastBar allows them to do more of what they want to do at the festival event, which is dance, listen to music, have a beverage.

Key results
An immediate revenue jump
Without tokens, Harefest was free to use variable pricing, and that alone brought an immediate jump in revenue. Harefest's owner saw more than double the revenue they expected.
Real-time data to run the festival
The team could see where people were going and what they were buying, with the financial and operational picture at their fingertips.
Staff where they're needed
Live sales made it possible to make operational and logistic decisions in the moment, like moving staff from a slow location to a busy one.
More time enjoying the festival
A one-time registration replaced repeat trips to the token booth, so guests could spend their time on the music.
It allows you to pivot staff accordingly, removing staff from a slow location, bolstering up staff at another location.
Kyle LangGeneral ManagerWhy FastBar worked for Harefest
- No more tokens - Guests register once instead of returning to the token booth
- Variable pricing - Every item can have its own price
- Real-time data - See where guests go and what they buy, as it happens
- Staff where they're needed - Move people from slow locations to busy ones in the moment
FastBar solves problems that we didn't even know we were facing at the moments we were facing them. Only once we adopted FastBar did we actually see some of the benefits that we didn't anticipate.
