Pricing

Pricing built around your event

No two events are the same, so we don't sell one-size-fits-all plans. Here's how pricing works, and how to get a quote built around yours.

How pricing works

What goes into your quote

Every quote is built from the same few pieces. Which ones you need, and whether you rent or own them, depends on your events.

  • Devices

Point-of-sale kits: iPad, stand and card reader. Rented, bought, or your own iPads.

  • Software

Every FastBar feature. Included in rentals, or licensed if you own your hardware.

  • Support

From do-it-yourself to remote 24/7 backup or our team on-site.

  • Wristbands

Branded RFID wristbands and registration stations, for cashless events.

Payment processing

Card payments by Stripe, at Stripe's rates

FastBar processes payments through Stripe, and we're a verified Stripe partner. Processing fees are separate from your FastBar quote and are paid to Stripe.

  • Payments go straight to your own Stripe account
  • FastBar never holds your money
  • Fully PCI compliant

Starting at

2.7% + 5¢

per in-person card transaction

Stripe's standard rate for card-present payments in the US. International cards and card-not-present payments cost a little more.

Why don't you publish prices?

Because two events with the same number of guests can need very different setups. A quote built around your event is far more useful than a price list that doesn't fit it. Tell us about your event and we'll put one together.

What affects my price?

Mainly how many devices you need, how many days your event runs, whether you go cashless with RFID wristbands, and how much support you want, plus travel if our team is on-site. Venues that run events all year usually pay less over time by buying their hardware.

Is there a minimum event size?

No. FastBar works for events of any size, from a small private party to festivals with tens of thousands of guests. For smaller events, running FastBar on your own iPads with DIY support keeps costs low.

Can I use my own iPads?

Yes. Download FastBar from the App Store and pay a software licence for your event. It's the lowest-cost way to run FastBar. If you rent devices from us instead, the software is included in the rental.

What are the payment processing fees?

Payments are processed by Stripe, at Stripe's rates, starting at 2.7% + 5¢ per in-person card transaction. International cards and card-not-present payments cost a little more. See Stripe's pricing

Do I need RFID wristbands?

Only if you want to go cashless. Card and cash payments work without them. Two events of the same size can go either way: a 300-person beer garden should keep it lean with a few card-only devices, because wristbands and an on-site team would cost more than they bring in. A 300-person corporate party might want wristbands and our team on-site anyway, because there it's all about the guest experience.

Are any features extra?

No. There are no feature tiers or add-on modules. Whether you rent for one night or license for the year, you get every FastBar feature.

Should I rent or buy?

If you run a handful of events a year, renting is simplest: everything arrives ready to go and goes back after the event. If you run events regularly, buying your hardware usually costs less over time, with flexible software licensing that fits your calendar.

How does software licensing work if we own our hardware?

It's flexible, so you only pay for what you need. License FastBar per event (Ad Hoc): if you run six events a year, you pay for six, with no subscription. Prepay a pool of licences to use over 12 months (Burn-Down), so busier months simply use more. Or choose a monthly or annual plan that covers as many events as you like (Unlimited).

Can I rent first and buy later?

Yes. You can try FastBar at a real event before you commit. If you buy within 30 days of your event, we'll credit what you paid to rent the hardware toward your purchase. Wristbands, support and travel aren't part of the credit.

How much notice do you need?

We can move quickly, and a small rental can often be ready within a week. Larger events with more devices, RFID or on-site support need more lead time, and custom wristbands typically take four to six weeks. Get in touch as early as you can.
